About the symbols in this necklace:
The three key elements in this piece are, of course, namaste, the om, and the lapis lazuli. At it's most basic, the word "Namaste" means simply: "I bow to the divine in you." It is an acknowledgement of the divine within ourselves and others. The om (also spelled ohm or aum) is ascribed to various religions, and is thought to embody the essence of the entire universe; it is the sound the universe made as it was born, and the sound that continues to hold together all that is.
Lapis lazuli is thought to be stone of protection and serenity, and is considered key to harmonizing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. It is thought to open the third eye and balance the throat chakra, and is also believed to reduce stress, bringing deep peace and encouraging self-awareness, honesty and compassion.
